The Cycle Race

Hi! I am a panda, my name is Barry, and I live in panda town. My best friend Peter lives in this town.

 

 

‘ Trrring! Trrring! Trrring! ’ The alarm woke me up!⏰

It was a cold winter day! I woke up and took a nice shower. Then had a hot cup of tea, meanwhile, Peter called me and reminded me of Christmas Eve!

Ohh! I forgot today’s a special day! I looked at the calendar. 25^th December was marked circle with a red pen and was written ‘Christmas eve’. I rushed out slamming the door close and ran towards the shops to buy candies and toys. I entered my home and started packing gifts. ‘Ting tong!’ some children came asking for some treats. I gave them some candies and they went off happily. A brown guy ran into my home and notified me about a cycle race today at 9 pm.

‘What’s your name?’ I asked... ‘Teddy’.

He also told me the location where the race is arranged. But we were not allowed to buy a cycle; we had to make a cycle by ourselves.

Teddy started calling some engineers for building a sports cycle for the race. Some of the engineers agreed and came into my garage with some tools.

After he heard that we want a cycle for the race... he refused to build.

We had very less time to build a cycle. We started to build a cycle together hammering some metals. ‘Tang! Tang! Tang!’. Finally, we were happy after building a cycle...

...Not really happy after looking at my crooked thick cycle. I went out for a test ride. It was slower than the grandpa panda walking beside me. Then I returned to my garage and we were discountenanced.

I made another cycle, upgrading the crooked thick cycle before. This time I made a cycle of four tires for more speed. The two additional small tires broke down as soon as I sat on it for a test ride.

Now I was starving and didn’t notice the time it was 12:30 pm. I was not prepared with the food for lunch so Teddy decided to have lunch in a restaurant together.

So we went to the restaurant named ‘panda’s groovy food’. I met my best friend Peter sitting at the table and waiting for his order. We went to him and sat there. Peter came to eat in a restaurant for the same reason. Then we asked peter to join us in building a cycle. He agreed to join...

All three of us were now very excited about the race.

We started working together after we reached home at 1:45 pm.

After 5hrs of hard work we together made a cycle with a booster. We didn’t have enough time to have a test ride.

We were eagerly waiting for the race to instigate...

After some hrs...

...ON YOUR MARK...GET SET...

We won the race and nobody was as fast as mine. We collected our rewards and celebrated that night...along the CHRISTMAS EVE...
